|June 24, 2004 -- I reloaded late Tuesday evening at Newark,
New Jersey with a load of beer that delivered at Johnson City, Tennessee
today. Now I'm set up to reload at Murfreesboro, Tennessee tomorrow at noon
with a load going to Oklahoma. I'll drop it at the yard in Arkansas, then
get my stuff out of the truck and head home for a few days off.
My fleet manager came back with good news for me. The company is compensating me about $500 for all that sitting I did on the frozen berry load. They seemed really relieved that I was able to get it unloaded with no problems. $500 is actually pretty cheap compared to how much it would have cost had the company had to buy the load in the form of a claim against the entire load.
Now that it's over with I've got a great new trucking nightmare story to tell !!!!
