|August 20, 2004 -- My fleet manager called me early this
morning. She called back a bit later to tell me she had me assigned on a
load going to Pennsylvania. When I got to the yard late this evening, I
found out that they put me on a load to Florida instead. It's a good thing I
didn't mindlessly head off towards Pennsylvania!!!!
I did a bit of shopping today. I needed a new cover for my bike so I stopped by the local Fayetteville, Arkansas Kawasaki motorcycle dealership since that's where I had bought my previous cover. I got the same model of cover I had the last time, manufactured by "Dowco." They seem to hold up to the weather about two or three years before the stitched seems start to come apart. Better the cover fall apart due to the weather than the bike's unprotected finish!!! Here's are pictures of my bike both uncovered and covered.
While I was paying for the bike cover, I saw a hat I liked, so I ended up trying it on and buying it. Here are a couple of pictures I took of myself earlier today modeling my new hat, both from the front and the back.
