October 18, 2004 -- The past few days I've been heading across I-80. Right now I've made it to extreme Eastern Indiana not far from the Ohio state line. I've stopped at an Indiana Turnpike Plaza to sleep for the night.

So far, I've still managed to keep any news or talk radio turned completely off. I've been tempted a couple of times to tune into talk radio, but I've managed to resist the temptation and listen to music instead. The bottom line is that the news is so tinged with abject negativity and outright lies that one cannot help but be affected by it. Therefore, I want to continue to eliminate its influence.

I sent out an email with new pictures to my digital photos email list a couple of days ago, and I've gotten quite a large response. Here are the pictures I sent out for those who aren't on the list.

This is a photo of me at Paterson, Washington.

The photo below was taken at Farewell Bend, Oregon.

This is a close-up with a mountain in the background..

This was taken near Mt. St. Helens, Washington a few months back while I was parked waiting for a road construction traffic delay on the main highway through the area.
