February 23, 2005 -- I unloaded early this morning at Rancho Cucamonga, California, which is near Ontario, California, both in the greater Los Angeles area. I decided to go ahead and spend the night here and wait until tomorrow to worry about picking up another load so that I could catch up on hours with my driver log book.

I spent last night at Victorville, California. Try as I might, I was unable to go to sleep so I finally just gave up on the idea. There's nothing worse than knowing you need to sleep, but not feeling the least bit tired or drowsy.

I spent most of the afternoon sleeping. A friend that lives out here came and picked me up this evening at the truck stop and we went to a nearby restaurant for dinner and to catch up on conversation.

I just spent some time simplifying my Home page. It was far too complicated and confusing. I put a lot of the individual links into simple categories on a separate Tom's Stuff page. The What's New !!! page can easily serve as a site index. A substantial amount of my website traffic is driven directly from search engines to internal pages anyway so there's really no need to confuse people with so many links on the home page. I'll likely think of ways I can simplify it further.
